A Bridgend band have scored a hit with their musical tribute to Welsh rugby heroes past and present as the nation eyes a possible Six Nations Grand Slam this weekend. The band The Blims reached number one in the iTunes Rock chart with Sidesteps and Sideburns and have notched up thousands of hits on You Tube with their video featuring local characters.

Meanwhile, thousands of Wales fans at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium could have their own taste of musical success when the official WRU song is recorded at half time during Saturday's game against France. Singer Paul Child hopes to release the single on Sunday.
